Judy Wilhide Brandt has written and delivered a six part series on ICD-10-CM coding. She is a Master Teacher for AAPACN and a Certified Professional Coder. At the nexus of both worlds, she talks to MDS nurses as the clinicians they are. This will be an immersive experience developed for MDS Coordinator nurses for use in assigning codes for a Part A patient. PDPM implications will be discussed along with coding instructions. We will introduce the ICD-10 Coding Manual, then use typical SNF cases to learn proper ICD-10-CM Coding. There will be suggested homework assignments and practice cases with answers for each webinar. If a student diligently studies, listens, does the practice assignments, and continues using the lessons learned, this will build a firm foundation for compliance ICD-10-CM coding.
