This is not an on-line class. I am using this platform to take registrations for face to face training in Richmond Virginia. This is designed for brand new MDS coordinators. This is the same class I do for the VHCA from time to time. Providers have asked for the class to be offered more frequently, so this is to fill in that gap. The price is only $150 for both days, as my way of giving back to my home state.
This registration is for MDS Basics Part I, January 21 - 22, 2025. Handouts will be furnished to registrants a few days before the event, to ensure it is up to date at the time.
Time: Note the unusual times. This is so people can drive in on day 1 and have 1 night in a hotel instead of two.
Day 1: 10 am - 4:30 PM
Day 2: 8 am - 2:30 PM
Topics Covered:
• Introduction to the RAI Process
• Role of the MDS in the Long Term Care Survey Process (LTCSP)
• Line-by-line coding instructions for crucial sections typically done by the MDSC where instructions can be confusing: Interview Skills, MDS Sections GG, I, J, M, N, O, and P. (Note: Only the specified MDS sections will be covered.)
• Care Area Assessments (CAA) and Care Planning
• OBRA Scheduling
